I’ve been bedridden for a while, but that hasn’t stopped me from doing something I love… Shopping. Thank goodness for the Internet!
One of my favourite online shopping sites for skincare / makeup / bath and body care is Strawberrynet, an amazing site that ships worldwide. They used to ship for free, without a minimum spend but you now need to spend RM100 to get free shipping.
Thanks to Paris B of My Women Stuff, I also discovered TNS Skin Lab! I usually purchase items from their standalone stores and never knew they had a website! Imagine how happy I was when I discovered I could shop within the comforts of my own bedroom!
Over the last month, I purchased quite a few bits online, mostly for a steal:
Yikes? Some are products I’ve been wanting to try for a while, while the others are either products are repurchases!
Lets start with the big blue bottle up there, the Bioderma Sebium Purifying Cleansing Foaming Gel. I really need to talk about this in detail. I’ve gone through two bottles, it’s rather value for money if you get it from Strawberrynet. I paid around RM140 for a 500ml bottle, while a 200ml bottle costs nearly RM100 in stores.
Next up, the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater. This is a family favourite. It’s a wonderful facial mist that doesn’t break the bank, and I mean it. RM35 for 100ml? Cheaper than many other brands and this works so much better. I’ve used this for years and I cannot believe I have never spoken about it!
The Antipodes Worship Serum is a new addition to the organic brand’s family. Both Paris and Lily raved about this, and thanks to Paris’ discount code, I bagged myself a bottle. Having used this for over two weeks now, I can see myself using this in the long run as it’s really light and my skin feels so good after. Have since purchased a backup!
Trilogy’s Rosehip Oil is one hyped up organic facial oil, thanks to the Duchess of Cambridge, who supposedly uses this. I used to be wary of facial oils as I have an oil seed problem, but am starting to warm up to the idea of using them. Give me more time to report back on this.
Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel. This received a pretty high score on Paula Begoun’s beautypedia, which made me curious. I’ve tried the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion years ago, and it gave me oil seeds. Have given this a go and it’s pretty good!
Another wonderful product from Clinique, the Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief. This has been a staple since my uni days, but upon returning home I strayed. Recently, my skin has been feeling dehydrated so I thought I ought to get back to using this! I purchased the supersized 125ml one because I know this works, and as always, the bigger the better. 😉
Finally, we have come to the controversial Eve Lom Cleanser. It’s one of those products that I’ve been wanting to try, despite it containing mineral oil. Well, if Lisa Eldridge is happy using it, I suppose my skin’s happy using it too! I’ve used it a couple of times now and despite me loving it, I can’t bring myself to repurchase as it is pricey and Clinique’s Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm does it’s job just as well, minus the need for a cleansing cloth.
Have you tried any of these products? Do you enjoy shopping online? Let me know!
