August Empties

Hello everyone! I’ve got an announcement to make, and that is of me making a comeback. :p yes, after an incredibly long hiatus with extremely sporadic posts here and there, I believe, I strongly believe I am back for good. 🙂

I’ve had a pretty rough 2014, having had surgery in April to losing my grandmother last month… It’s been tough, but I will write about it another day. Thought I’d kickstart blogging by showing you what I’ve used up in the last month!

Yep, sunscreens and I sure are BFFs :p I’ve recently branched out into trying cheaper sunscreens for the body – I’ve only just noticed that my trusty Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunblock stains my clothes (I blame this on the way I slather on way too much sunscreen but the mother has banned me from using it as it’s been turning my sleeves yellow!).

I’ve also discovered something else: another favorite sunscreen product has been cast aside as it actually aggravates the bumps on my upper arms…. Again, this is something I never realized until I tried the Biore UV Daily Care Gel SPF30 PA++ and the Suhadafit UV Watergel SPF30 PA+++. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have gone from one who never settles for anything less than SPF50 to wearing SPF30 on my arms and legs. These two products made me a convert, and I will be telling you more about them in the near future.

I’ve also used up two Origins products this month – really downed my little bottle of Peace of Mind and tube of Out of Trouble mask. These are two products I have repurchased over the years and I already have broken into my backups. 😉

The Shiseido Perfect UV Protector needs no introduction on the blog – I’ve gone through bottles of it, and will carry on doing so. Right now I’m really hoping they won’t upgrade the formula… For the worse.

And last on the list is this beautiful Trilogy gentle cleansing cream, a beautiful gift from Steph. It took me a while to get used to the texture (am more of a Clinique Take the Day off balm / Kose Speedy Cleansing Oil girl) but this really grew on me. Am contemplating purchasing a tube of this but I have bottles of cleansing oil to go through still… One day, one day this will sit in my bathroom again.

And that’s what I’ve used up in the last month! A monthly favourites post should be up really soon too, so stay tuned! 🙂

Yay welcome back! You really drink sunscreen, Sukie. Lol! I never had a habit of applying sunscreen on my arms and legs even though I religiously apply it on my face and neck. I really should start huh?
