What better to follow up after an Empties post with a monthly favourites? 😉
Last month, has been what I call a very “hot” month. With a ton of speculations on when the elections will be held right down to me suffering from a serious case of heat rash thanks to the extremely crazy weather, here's what I've been loving to keep cool!
I've been trying to go natural as it's so hot and my oily skin tends to make foundation slide off my face. I'm also trying my hardest not to use too much of my favourite MUFE HD primer as I'm running out!
1. Johnson's Baby Powder – Cooling
Lifesaver. Helps sooth the heat rash, lessen the friction between my skin and clothes. You have no idea how much I wanted to be out in the nude due to the rash. Too much information. Next!
2. MAC Viva Glam V lipstick
I've been going nude! Lip-wise, what were you thinking!! 😉 This was a gift from Hanny, and I still love wearing it to this very day 🙂
3. SK-II Facial Treatment UV Protection SPF25++
I'm a bit of a strange one. I never do without my Shiseido UV Perfector. But after my gym session, I like wearing a layer of this as I know I won't be exposed to the sun anymore, only the computer screen until late at night. I actually really like this sunscreen. Only if it came in SPF50 or more.
4. Canmake Cream Cheek Blush
This was a limited edition shade. Number's so worn out that I can't tell you what shade it is, sorry! I've been lazy with powder blush application last month so cream blushes like this one have really helped see me through!
5. MUFE HD Primer
I have had this for over a year. Heck, maybe even close to two. Or two. I don't know. Bottom line is, this is amazing. I don't know why I haven't reviewed this (fine, laziness got the better of me) but I don't know if I will be repurchasing this! I have a problem with Sephora SAs, an issue in which I may get down to talking about in a future post. Or it wouldn't even see daylight. Write me a little note if you'd like to know more. 😉
6. Bourjois Touché Healthy Mix
I'm feeling a bit giggly as I'm writing this post. I don't know why I keep wanting to type “hehehe” or “lol” all the time. Or add in smileys. Bimbo is me. Gosh! Anyway, this product is lush. I use it for seriously lazy days. Lazy being just sunscreen, a swipe of this here and there (ok undereye area, cat whisker style) and loose powder. Add in the above cream blush and that's the look I wear to work. Lipstick comes at the very last minute just before I step out of the car into my office block.
