Excessive Packing, Part Two

Following up from yesterday's post, we paused at mostly face products. I call the products in this post a necessity, others may see them as nonsense or rubbish. Take your pick!

1. Guerlain Rouge G in Orange Euphorique 45

This bright coral / orange based lippie perks up my otherwise dull and makeup free face. Love using it during travels or just on days when I can't be bothered to apply loads on my face.

2. Bourjois Effet 3D Lipgloss in shade 52

For luscious lips. I need more of these.

3. Dior Rouge Serum in shade 355

A birthday gift from dear Lily, I use this for touchups wherever I am regardless of what colour lip I'm wearing. Contamination galore! :p but I just love how versatile this product is. Applied sheerly you get just the faintest hint of colour but the gorgeous baby pink shade can be layered on too. I haven't been without this ever since I received this. Thanks darling!

4. Guerlain Altoum Shine Automatique (700)

Shine baby, shine!

5. Set of three lippies from Shiseido (2012 Aura Veil Collection)

For variety minus the weight. :p

Here comes the slightly random bit:

1. Shiseido's Perfect UV Protector

Something I will never be able to live without.

2. Kool Fever sheets

I always feel woozy whenever I'm feverish and this recent discovery has really helped alleviate the wooziness. I wore this out of the house with grandma and garnered quite a few stares. Hehe.

3. Berocca

1. Urban Decay Primer Potion

This helps eyeshadow stay on my oily lids. Nearly all day. Can't attend events / be going round town with creased eyeshadow, can we? 😉

2. Acqua di Parma Getsomino Nobile Eau de Parfum sample

My grandma wants everyone to smell good. Hence the perfume.

Next up, tools of the trade!

All brushes are kept in pristine condition thanks to The Brush Guard.

1. Shiseido's Foundation Brush

Love this! I do not really need to use a brush with the Diorskin Nude foundation but this is one tool I cannot bring myself to travel without. I usually smooth the Nude foundation over my skin and blend well with my fingers but I still will pick this brush up and lightly dab it across my face because I am weird like that. I'll be giving one away in my next giveaway so keep your eyes peeled!

2. Guerlain's Meteorites brush

Size is perfect for travel and picks up just the right amount of powder.

3. Sigma travel-sized blending brush

For eyeshadow. Note the size too.

4. Shu Uemura eyelash curler

For pretty eyelashes. :p

1. Origins Sensory Therapy Peace of Mind

Only stuff other than Olbas that clears my blocked nose and woozy head.

2. L'occitane Lavande hand sanitiser

Smells good and works a treat. Lasts a very long time too.

3. Dequadin Pastilles

A get-well-soon gift from my facial therapist! I love my facial therapist and we have spent many a session giggling over absolutely nothing at all. Most of you would relax and be lulled to sleep by your therapist's rhythmic massage skills but I've become so fond of dear Cassie that I can't bear not seeing her for more than one month! She's an amazing masseuse too so that always is a plus.

4. O.P.I Avoplex High Intensity Hand and Nail Cream

This. Smells. Amazing. I massaged granny's hands with this and she couldn't stop smelling them. She kept on sniffing at her hands. Thank you so much, Steph! You have created two Avoplex hand cream sniffing junkies! At one point I truly thought grandma was high on something as she had a very distant, dreamy look as she sniffed her hands hahaha!

Phew!! Thats finally the last of what I packed on this overnight trip. The amount of stuff my parents helped me transport over to Penang for the wedding is another story to tell for another day.

What do you think of posts like these? Yay / nay?

  1. Becca @ The Beauty Sample January 3, 2013 / 09:37

Yay what a fun list, Sukie!! 😀 I’ve always wanted to try the Dior Rouge Serums but for some reason, I always forget about them when I’m actually at a counter 😛 Must definitely make a note of it! Also love the Shiseido sunscreen and UD Primer Potion (even though I stick with my trusty Nars, I do like UD’s). The Shiseido foundation brush is a good one too! I use my hands more (which is weird because I used to be grossed out by the thought of using my hands to apply foundation :P) but when I do use a brush, I always use the Shiseido one. It’s soooooo soft and the size is perfect for maximum control!

Hello!! Do give the Rouge Serums a go. They have never left my bag and I use it nearly everyday! I think I\’m coming to the end of it now and it makes me sad =( I really need to try NARS\’ primer!! Arrgh but we can\’t get NARS over here in Malaysia. It\’s really, really sad T__T

I used to only use my fingers as I\’m so lazy to wash brushes after but this Shiseido brush has really made a difference to the way I look and I really want to look good even on holiday (hehe vain bit coming out now) so I\’m bringing this wherever I go! =D

a random question: how does Berocca multivits taste like??? XD am hunting for multivits that taste good without being too sweet

    • SukieK January 22, 2013 / 23:29

Haha you are very welcome, Gin!

Hmmm they taste like… Soluble Vitamin C. A little on the sweet side but I don\’t mind it. 😉
