Weekly Photo Meme! The Body Care Edition and a little surprise!

Hello! Once again, I’m doing Yumeko’s Photo Meme but this time, I’m a week behind schedule! :s Without further ado, here we go!

1. Body Wash

The Body Shop’s (TBS) Passion Fruit Shower Gel with Dr. Bronner’s Magic Peppermint Soap! I usually purchase TBS’ Shower Gels when they go on sale and I vaguely remember paying £2.50 for this if I’m not wrong. Dr. Bronner’s on the other hand is one of my favourite soaps as it lathers up beautifully even though not much is used! I do not find Dr. Bronner drying but the boyfriend claims it turns his skin scaly. Hmm!

2. Skin Moisturiser

Clarins Body Cream, L’occitane’s 100% Shea Butter, The Body Shop’s Almond Body Butter. The Clarins Body Cream came with my Eau Ressourcante Fragrance and I like using it in summer as this is one of my lighter body moisturisers. L’occitane’s 100% Shea Butter is incredibly thick and greasy and I only use it on dry bits eg. elbows, knees and back. The Body Shop’s Almond Body Butter is used as an all-over body moisturiser. These 3 products are what I currently use but my favourite all rounder is the Astral Cream which isn’t in the photo as I’m currently out of it!

3. Hair Treatment / Conditioner

My hair has been in a little bit of a mess since running out of my HG L’occitane conditioner but these 3 items are a godsend for me! L’occitane’s Hair serum for dry/damaged hair works very well on damp hair, not so on dry as it tends to make your hair look greasy so buyers beware! I use Aveda’s Brilliant Damage Control spray prior to blow drying my hair as this product helps protect my hair from thermal and UV damage as well as reduce breakage for all hair types. The lastest addition to my collection, L’oreal’s Mythic Oil Milk. Smells lovely and leaves my hair soft, shiny and smooth without weighing it down!

4. Perfume

I’m not big on fragrance, and these two bottles were a gift from the boyfriend over the years. I also have a bottle of Chloe’s perfume but the silver edges of the bottle have tarnished hence, not very picture friendly. ;) I do not wear perfume on a daily basis and thanks to this meme I’m going to try wearing them everyday! =)

Now, I know this is meant to be a 5 photo meme with the final one being other body care items you use! I already featured my sunscreen in the previous meme and since I did promise a FOTD in this post, I thought why not post it here! ;)

I doubt this even counts as a FOTD as I barely have any make up on. Here’s what I used:

1. MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC15

2. Guerlain Perles D’Azur Meteorites

3. Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Nuit d’Amour (lightly dabbed on, worn as a stain)

4. Guerlain Terracotta Gloss in Porto Azzurro

I didn’t apply any foundation or blush as my skin was looking happy on the day I took this photo and I felt I should place more emphasis on the lips! Okay you caught me out on this one… I should have at least applied some eyeshadow / mascara or even eye liner but I was too lazy to doll up. Besides, why doll up when it wouldn’t make much of a difference? =D

A little on the lips: This is what Nuit d’Amour looks like when worn full-on, just to give you an idea on how warm the lip colour looks. The lip colour takes on a cooler and more wearable tone for everyday use when a thin layer of Porto Azzurro’s applied over the top.

As for the surprise…. A teeny flash giveaway is in the works to thank all of you for being lovely readers so do stay tuned as this giveaway is not going to be open for very long! ;)

Have a lovely day everyone and Happy Friday! =)

Review: Guerlain by Emilio Pucci’s Terracotta Gloss in #12 Porto Azzurro

It’s Monday again! I have decided to conquer Monday Blues with a…. Blue Lipgloss! I need another lipgloss like I need another bag. Haha, I kid. This is the only lipgloss I have for now after I used up both my Chanel Vitalumiere and Bourjois Effet 3D Max lipglosses.

You can tell how far I’ve come with make up once you’ve read those two posts! ;)

I headed to Fenwick on the 1st of June as that’s when the collection is released in store with only one item in mind – Perles d’Azur but the SA immediately grabbed my arm and swatched Porto Azzurro on it. I spluttered

‘But it’s… blue!’

Precisely, was her answer. After attending the quickest masterclass on why you need a blue lipgloss ever, this is the end result:

There are 3 shades in this collection and they are all named after iconic Pucci Silk Scarves. Other than this indigo blue lipgloss, there’s #11 Porto Ercole (brown) and #10 Porto Fino (coral pink).

The box (as well as the lid of Perles d’Azur) is lined with a blue / green print inspired by the ‘Winter Capri’ Pucci print, extracted from the fashion house’s print archive. The lipgloss is a lovely sight to behold, housed in a delicate-looking plastic tube with a smoky bronze cap whose colour is very similar to the tortoise shell outer packaging of Guerlain’s Terracotta products. I also noticed that the shade of the lipgloss is exactly the same as the darkest blue shade on the Pucci print and this connection made me really happy to think that the packaging of the lipgloss takes on a little bit of both powerhouses, if that makes any sense at all. ;)

The cap bears some resemblance to Guerlain’s Kohl Kajal eyeliners as dear Steph pointed out and it has Guerlain’s signature double G logo engraved around the cap. The lightness of the lipgloss took me aback a little as the build of the product seemed so solid to the extent of it being too solid looking to be such a lightweight!

From the tube, the gloss looks jelly-like and just staring deeply at the indigo blue shade transports me away from this dreary weather and brings sunshine into my mind! I suppose the excitement of owning a blue lipgloss contributed greatly to this.

The cap houses a doe foot applicator and the lipgloss takes on more of a purple tint than blue when swatched:

You need a blue lipgloss in your stash because:

1. It makes your teeth look whiter.

2. Correcting properties! It cools down warm / dark lippies and breathes new life into those lipsticks you set aside thinking they were ‘wrong purchases’! Dig them out and apply a layer of this and watch as the magic unfolds itself!

3. With it being summer where everyone’s sporting the tanned look, having a cool-toned lip colour tones down the bronzed look and hence, balances the overall look!

Porto Azzurro is non-sticky, moisturising and does not contain shimmer. When applied to bare lips, a blue tint is evident (wonder why Guerlain says it goes on transparent) but this works a treat when layered over lipsticks! I’ve tried this with 2 of my lippies and it transforms the shades.

As the weather’s been dreary, I haven’t been able to take lip swatches of this but this will be featured in upcoming FOTDs.

This is such a lovely addition to my stash and I think everyone needs to own an off-beat coloured lipgloss like this one! What do you think? ;)

happiness is.

when I have my cup of tea to kickstart the day.

when I listen to Max Schneider on YouTube.

when I realise (with slight dismay) that I actually find Bieber’s Boyfriend catchy.

when waking up at 4am isn’t so bad after all as you hear the birds chirping, and watch the break of dawn.

when I know my family and friends have got my back.

when I have such lovely readers like you.

thank you, the powers that be for bringing such good into my life.

Saturday Photo Meme – What’s in Your Bag?

Hiya! I frequently stalk Yumeko’s blog (please follow her, she takes such lovely photos!) where recently she’s started this photo meme thing which I found to be quite fun and they make great filler posts too! Hehe!

I thought I’d make this a Saturday Photo Meme instead of a Friday one due to our time zone difference. Yumeko lives in Japan whereas I live in the UK! By the time I read Yumeko’s blog it’s pretty much Friday afternoon / evening here so I find it a little late to churn out a post then. I hope this is okay with you, Yumeko!

It would be lovely if we could get more people to join in the fun!

So in this Photo Meme edition, we reveal what’s in our bags based on 5 questions.

Are you ready? =D

1. Cellphone / Mobile phone

This is my battered iPhone case. Bought it with the boyfriend from one of those island shops at Sunway Pyramid for RM68 which is a rip off for the quality you get but I was desperate for one as he accidentally broke my other case. Tsk tsk. Does anyone have any good iPhone cases / covers to recommend?

2. Wallet / Purse / Whatever you keep your money in

I have two purses (because girls can never be satisfied with only one), with the other being my Cath Kidston one which is still very much in use. The red Filofax leather purse gets used when I have a lot of other stuff to carry or, when I’m using a small bag as the Cath Kidston one can be a little bulky. I purchased this from Filofax’s Covent Garden store during the Summer Sales last year and fast forward nearly a year later, it’s still looking as good as new!

3. Something in your wallet (cards / coins / money / whatever)

Mostly drugstore loyalty cards, as you can see! =D Boots, Superdrug, Clarins and Debenhams are the places where I spend most of my erm, allowance but these cards ensure that I get my money’s worth! I even have a Residents Card because that gives me discounts when dining at places such as Pattiserie Valerie and gives me free access to certain museums in town. I’m a bit of a nerd like that. Holland and Barrett is where I purchase my health supplements / food but this is relatively new so I’m not sure what the rewards are like. The Bite Card gives me a good 20% discount off certain food outlets at all train stations in the UK. Finally, there’s the Tesco Clubcard (boring) and my weekly bus pass! This is the first time I’ve purchased a bus pass since coming back as I haven’t been very well so I thought I’d treat myself to taking the bus all week before reverting back to using my feet.

There you go, I love my discount cards and I never go anywhere without these cards! Boots, especially as there’s a Boots pharmacy everywhere and you just never know what you may find! =D

4. Makeup you carry on the go

The only beauty product I carry is usually a lippie where I have Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine in Boy housed in a batik lipstick case. I thought I should add in sunscreen and hand sanitiser because they are my must have items and I never leave home without these.

5. Whatever else you wish to share from your bag

Another must have is the umbrella. If you reside in the UK, you must never ever leave home without a brolly… Unless the ‘wet look’ is what you’re after! ;) I have been carrying my iPad around and it sleeps in this beautiful iPad sleeve that Mum got it custom made for me before I left home!

I decided to do this with Stephanie of Beaute Fabuleuse so please head to her blog to see what she’s got in her bag!

It’s fun having a little peek into what others have in their bag! Please let us know if you decide to do this Meme and leave a link in the comment box below so we can hop over to your blog to say hello!

Have a lovely Saturday, everyone! My Saturday will be spent at work but hearing from you readers will certainly make my day. =)

Keeping my skin in check with Elemis’ Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash and Balancing Lavender Toner.

My skin can be likened to a child who throws the worst tantrums. When tantrums strike, all hell breaks loose and mountains of angry pimples appear. Many things set her off: that time of the month, drastic change in weather etc and it’s been extremely difficult to keep things in check!

In comes this duo from Elemis!

I bought this duo on a whim (I always buy stuff on a whim :s ) when Debenhams were doing a beauty sale in September last year. I’ve heard many good things about Elemis so the discount motivated me to purchase these products! Housed in a set, I paid around £25 for both of them. Usually the Tri-Enzyme Facial Wash costs £27.60 alone so I bagged a lovely bargain then!

I started using the toner first as I had run out of toner at home but only started using the Facial Wash back in November which explains why I’ve used up so much toner.

The Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Wash is part of the Elemis Anti-Ageing Resurfacing Programme where it takes on a chemical peel like quality. The wash stimulates the skin’s natural cell renewal cycle, actively smoothing and refining whilst sloughing away dead skin cells which dull the complexion. I found this particularly helpful in the last few weeks when my skin wrecked havoc as this gently exfoliates away scabs and dry patches on my skin minus the scrubby bits found in regular exfoliators.

Another thing to note is that this cleanser does not lather very much, which is a plus point for me as some foaming cleansers leave my skin dry and taut after thus emphasising the dry patches on my skin! I was initially worried about using such a ‘strong’ product as I have sensitive skin but the SA assured me that the enzymes in the product are derived from plant based products such as Galactolarabinan, a Polysaccharide from the Larch Tree enhances the non-abrasive exfoliation process whilst Brazilian Babassu Oil, rich in Fatty Acids replenishes moisture levels in the epidermis. Other products such as Moringa and White Truffle help protect skin against environmental damage as well as soothe and support the natural microflora of the skin.

I find using half a pump of cleanser more than enough for me and the fresh floral scent is rejuvenating, making this such a joy to use in the morning when the last thing I want to do is drag myself out of bed. =p However, as this works like a mild chemical peel, Elemis advises users to wear sunscreen (at least SPF30) and avoid sunbathing or sunbeds when using this product.

Worried that this might over exfoliate and irritate my skin, I usually use this once a day in the evenings. As I’ve been suffering from a terrible bout of breakouts I decided to things a little further and use this twice a day. Thankfully, the Facial Wash seems to help speed up the healing process!

Paired with the Balancing Lavender Toner (alcohol free, by the way!), my skin feels fresher and the scars seem to heal faster. The Lavender Toner reminds me of Clinique’s Clarifying Lotions sans the latter’s high alcohol content as my skin feels incredibly fresh and clean (stripped would perhaps be a better word to describe this) after using this duo but I would not use the Toner everyday as I sometimes find it to be a tad drying.

I once tried applying a cotton pad soaked with the toner onto a particularly huge and painful zit and it took the angry redness away. By two days the zit subsided and usually the zits on my face take at least 3-4 days to subside so I’m guessing this product did contribute to it’s fast death. ;)

Spending so much on a cleanser is not something I’d usually do but this comes so close to being a HG cleanser for me that… I’ll just keep an eye out for offers like these to come by again and will repurchase then.

If you are looking for a similar but cheaper product, I recommend you give Mario Badescu’s Enzyme Cleansing Gel a go as they are both very similar in terms of texture and results.

What do you think of such cleansers? Would you use them on an everyday basis?

Review: Shiseido’s Perfect UV Perfector SPF50+ PA+++

I never go out without sunscreen because my skin hates the sun. Should I stay under direct (not-so-direct even) sunlight for about 10 minutes sans protection you get a pudgy lobster (me, duh) whose skin will then peel over the next couple of days.

Not pretty, I promise.

Having worn sunscreen for as long as I can remember, I can safely say I know what to look for in a sunscreen, and what kind of sunscreens I like. =D

In comes Shiseido’s Perfect UV Protector! I’ve been using Kose’s Medicated Sekkisei SPF50+ for over half a year where I went through 3 bottles of it until I ran out when I was home sometime in March.

I was going to repurchase Kose’s sunscreen because it provided good enough protection and I never broke out from it but decided against repurchasing it because Mum and I were… sigh snubbed by Kose’s SA. I’ve got this bad habit (blame it on the b*tch in me) where bad customer service will put me off purchasing anything in any store regardless of how much I love the product.

Then we were walking about in Isetan KLCC’s beauty hall when a SA from Shiseido approached us and asked if we needed any help. Needless to say, I took the plunge and tried this out!

Wanna know what I think of this product? ;)

Shiseido sells quite a few different sunscreens and the Venyce, the SA kindly pointed out the different sunscreens and their varying uses which was really helpful as I just couldn’t decide on which sunscreen to choose!

I’m a huge fan of runny textured sunscreens as cream textured ones just irritate me and I detest that sticky feeling one gets when wearing thicker sunscreens.

So, it was between this and the Urban Environment Oil-Free sunscreen as they are light textured and wash off with a regular face cleanser. No double cleansing needed should you wear this without make up and this really caught my attention thanks to my sloth-like qualities. =D

I tested both products on my hands in store and I found that the Perfect UV Protector dries to a light, powdery finish whereas the Urban Environment Oil-Free sunscreen is more moisturising (read: oily) so I decided to go with the former.

Also, the RM4 price difference helped me seal the deal! You pay RM130 for the Urban Environment sunscreen where you get 30ml of product but with the Perfect UV Protector you pay RM126 fo 50ml of product. ;)

Then again, the Urban Environment sunscreen is a face sunscreen and is also a make up base whereas the Perfect UV Protector is marketed for body use, but can also be used for the face. Need I say more? I went with the cheaper and more value for money option because I’m a bit of a cheapskate like that. =p

With sunscreen, I never wear less than SPF50+ on my face when I’m out and about but am a little more slack with my body where I normally slap on either SPF30.

This Shiseido Perfect UV Protector also happens to be very water resistant but it is recommended that sunscreen is reapplied frequently especially if doing sports / swimming to ensure you get maximum protection at all times.

Me? I never bother reapplying sunscreen especially if I’m out and about and wear make up because… Who has the time to remove make up, reapply sunscreen and reapply war paint after when they’re out? Hats off to you if you actually do!

Here’s some swatches of the sunscreen:

The product’s dispensed through a spout and there is a slight pinkish tint to the sunscreen which I personally feel helps brighten the complexion. This spreads evenly over the skin and dries relatively quickly. There is a slight alcohol scent that dissipates in a jiffy otherwise my nose does not detect any other fragrance in the sunscreen.

I have worn this through long road trips, many a shopping trip while in Kelantan where we hopped from bazaar to bazaar sans brolly and I did not burn / tan. Also, I find that my foundation stays on longer when wearing this as a base compared to Kose’s where my foundation tends to slide off easily. On some days I can get away without dusting a layer of powder over foundation because this product’s just that good!

In sunny Malaysia, my skin oils up easily due to the humid weather but I only blot once when wearing this sunscreen. Over here in the UK where summer feels a lot more like winter I do not need to blot at all. :)

I’m glad I brought a spare bottle with me as I’m squeezing the remaining drops out of this current bottle. After 3 months of everyday use where I apply the sunscreen liberally over my face and neck, it’s RM126 well spent.

Has anyone tried this or other Shiseido sunscreens?

Ooh and finally, a little plug. =D Do visit my blog sale where there are many lovely things to be had! =D

Calming Aromatherapy Products: Neal’s Yard Remedies’ Calming Candle and Room Spray

Have you ever suffered from sleepless nights? This has been a problem for me for a good 4-5 weeks now and I have been desperately trying to rectify this problem. My family’s been a firm believer of aromatherapy products where there’s almost always incense / scented candles burning in our home to ‘set the mood’.

I first stumbled upon Neal’s Yard Remedies’ (NYR) Aromatherapy range last November while shopping at Westfield Stratford when the bf and I walked past NYR and we both turned back thanks to the lovely scent that wafted from the shop! It wasn’t the kind of the ‘in your face’ scent you get when walking past LUSH shops but it was a subtle mix of scents that drew us in!

NYR were then promoting their (then) new fragrance – Pure Essence Eau de Parfum No.1 – Frankincense which the bf bought for his grandma but what drew me in was their Aromatherapy candles. I have a huge thing for scented candles, especially Diptyque ones but they do cost quite a bit! The bf then decided to treat me to NYR’s Calming aromatherapy candle!

Fast forward 7 months later, I found the Calming Aromatherapy Room Spray on offer at Fenwick’s and I thought it would compliment my candle which is down to its last legs.

Neal’s Yard Remedies’ candles are handmade by a traditional candle-maker on a farm on the north coast of Cornwall. I’m all for locally made produce so yay for that! On top of that, the wax used is a 100% organic blend of beeswax and botanical wax which is great as this means I will not be inhaling toxins when as the candle burns. Pure aromatherapy essential oil blends are infused into the wax before being hand poured. Burn time for these candles are approximately 60 hours as stated on the box.

Consisting of mainly soothing rose and geranium essential oils, I love the subtle rose scent mingled with a hint of geranium. NYR’s rose scented products with L’occitane’s are my favourite go-to brand for rose scented products as the rose scent isn’t too overpowering / synthetic smelling. Instead, you get a fresh, calming scent with a tinge of grass which transports me to a field filled with lavender and roses. I have no idea why I associate ‘calm’ scents with lavender but I’m a huge lavender scent and the above packaging takes on purple hues which keeps making me think there’s lavender somewhere in the ingredient list but there’s no lavender at all in the Calming range.

I especially love burning candles in the evening just before bedtime when I’m reading a book. I usually place candles on my bedside table as I love to glance at the flickering flame every now and then (okay it also shows I’ve got a short attention span =p ) and the scent never fails to gently usher me to bed. I call this my bedtime drug =D

With the spray, I use it for the times when I’m too lazy to light the candle as it instantly refreshes the room with a few spritzes. It takes a while for the scent to surface when I’m using the candle but the spray’s great for quick pick-me-ups, or calm-me-down-now times when I really need it. Housed in NYR’s signature blue glass bottles (which looks and feels really luxurious when held), this is also kept on my bedside table as I love to spritz it in the air before the lights go out as I think I’m addicted to the scent. ;)

Do you need both products? Well, as much as they compliment each other, I wouldn’t say you need them both. However, I find the scent lingers in my room a lot longer after I’ve used the candle but with the room spray you get an instant burst of fragrance. I have friends who love lighting candles but then forget to put them out, making this a fire hazard so if you may be one of these people who have the tendency to forget, the room spray is a good alternative.

Here’s the ingredient list for the candle:

Organic wax*, Rosa damascena (Rose) flower cera, Pogostemon cablin (Patchouli) leaf oil*, Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) flower oil*, Rosa damascena (Rose) flower extract, Tocopherol, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Citral, Citronellol, Eugenol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.

Ingredient list for the spray:

Aqua (water), Polyglyceryl-4 caprate, Rosa damascena (Rose) flower cera, Pogostemon cablin (Patchouli) leaf oil*, Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) flower oil*, Levulinic acid, Sodium levulinate, Glycerin, Citral, citronellol, Farnesol, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.

*Organically produced ingredient.

Natural constituent of essential oils listed.

Review: Dior Nude Natural Glow Creme-Gel SPF20 Foundation in 010 Ivory

I seem to have fallen under the spell of compact foundations as I seem to have abandoned my liquid foundations in favour of cream compacts over the last couple of months!

As I’ve constantly been on the go during my recent stay in Malaysia, compacts were my best friends as they were travel-friendly eg. No messy spills / having to worry about that carry-on rule where I always struggle to fit all my skincare products into that clear zip lock bag and it works just as well, if not better than some of the liquid foundations I’ve tried!

Today, I’ll be talking about the Dior Nude Natural Glow Creme-Gel Compact foundation which I got quite awhile ago from a blog sale when I was really new to make up. When applied with a sponge (or blame it on my nonexistent make up application skills) this foundation gave such an unnatural, cakey look that I just kept it aside and forgot about it.. Until now. =)

Dior describes this product as having a ‘cream formula that turns to powder’ upon application and I was intrigued by this. Before we go any further with the texture of the product, I would like to reveal the main gripe I’ve got about this product!

The packaging annoys me to no end. The compact comes with a sponge which sits on a plastic lid. The foundation lies beneath the lid. When you open the compact, this is what you get:

photo taken from Dior’s website

I find that the mirror’s rendered useless when I try to use this product as the mirror gets blocked when the plastic lid gets lifted up so it gets cumbersome when travelling as you will constantly need to flip the plastic lid up and down should you need access to both the foundation and the mirror.

Okay end of rant. =)

Other than the cumbersome packaging, I find myself liking the product! The creme-gel compact comes in 6 shades with neutral undertones so you won’t have to worry if it’s too yellow or pink! Having only 0.35oz of product makes you wonder if it’s worth its £36 price tag (£27 for refills) but I will get there in a bit.

I have this in the lightest shade – 010 Ivory which is a good match for me. Here’s a swatch:

The above swatch looks a little pink but in real life it is neutral. Just like its claims, the Dior Creme-Gel foundation feels like a gel when applied to the skin but upon blending turns powdery and feels lovely on the skin! I usually apply this with my Shiseido foundation brush or my Sigma F82 round kabuki brush and both help blend the foundation out effortlessly!

I normally use cream compacts this way where I use my fingers to swipe the foundation on a few areas of my face, namely the area around my nose and chin before spreading the product and blending it out with a brush. The coverage given isn’t amazing as you will still need to conceal your blemishes as you can see in this FOTD where I did not use concealer on my blemishes. However, this evens out the skintone perfectly and I love how light it feels on the face! Dior created this product using ‘a microscopic network of extremely soft waxes that imprison mineral powders’ that are then released upon application. This is the most unusual cream compact foundation I have with the other being Shiseido’s Hydro-Liquid Compact foundation which feels just like any other liquid foundation.

Wear wise I do not have any problems with this product sliding or melting off my face even though I’ve worn it everyday during the last 2 weeks where it has been rather warm and humid over here but I do set the foundation with a light dusting of Bare Escentual’s Mineral Veil or Guerlain’s Meteorites. Also, wearing this foundation with primer (Revlon’s Photoready or MUFE’s HD primer) makes the foundation stay in place all day as I’ve experienced during my trip to London for the Jubilee celebrations!

I thought I’d *proudly* show you I’ve hit pan with this product but please pardon how mangled it looks!

This has been my go-to foundation since coming back to the UK and I’ve rarely used any other foundation as I’ve been loving how light it feels on my skin!

If you do not mind the unhygienic aspect of using a cream compact, do give this a go as it gives a natural-looking finish and does not reveal your dry patches to the world. ;)

My first Guest Post!

Hiya! As mentioned above, I had the honour of guest blogging for Hanny at Hanny’s Random Rambings where I blogged about MAC’s Viva Glam V that Hanny gifted to me. =) Do hop along to her blog to check it out and let us know what you think! =)
Because I’ve technically posted today, I’ll leave you with a FOTD with me wearing MAC’s Viva Glam V =) I’m not very fond of doing FOTDs because:
1. I’m really bad at applying make up.
2. I’m not very good-looking
3. Am shy.
Reason No. 2 is the most obvious, as you will witness in this photo below:

For the first time ever, I applied mascara! I’ve finally found one that does not smudge on me and holds curls well! =D
Here’s a list of the products I used:
1. Dior Nude Natural Glow Creme-Gel SPF20 Foundation in 010 Ivory
3. Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil (Original)
4. Benefit’s Coralista blush
5. Shiseido’s Perfect Mascara Defining Volume
6. Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-in-Place Shadow Cremes in Golden Sands and Mochachino.
7. MAC Viva Glam V on lips
This, sans eye make up is what I normally wear on a daily basis. =) What do you think of this look? Do let me know in the comments!
