I have amassed quite a few BB creams now that I’m on this crazy search for one that actually fits my skin tone. =p I took the plunge and bought this because it contains two of my current favourite products: BB Cream and a Cream Blush!
The cream blush is niftily hidden in the lid and it comes with a teeny mirror which I deem unnecessary as my face is too big (fat) for it. I like the tube packaging as well as the cheapo in me would usually cut tubes up and dig every single drop out before chucking it away.
The BB cream contains SPF 37 PA+++ which I suppose should be enough for me come Autumn / Winter when I tend to get a little lazy with sunscreen application and move straight to BB creams like these but for now I still apply my usual Kose Sekkisei (I really need to review this!) Sun Protector underneath. =)
Like the other
BB creams I have, the Holika Holika Peach Girl’s texture is really smooth and spreads out easily. Out of the tube, it has a slight grey tint which does oxidise to match your skin tone. I’m still extremely fascinated with the idea of BB creams being able to match most skin tones but so far, most of them disappoint.
Onto the Lip / Cheek tint, it’s very pigmented! I find it more pigmented than my No7 Lip and Cheek Tint
which I am using nearly everyday as it gives me such a lovely natural glow and I find it perfect for work as I don’t want too much colour on my face. This Holika Holika tint takes on such a lovely peachy pink colour but it’s easy to overdo due to it’s pigmentation.
Sadly, the BB cream still oxidises a tad dark for me so I still need a light dusting of powder to lighten the shade.
Here’s what both the BB cream and tint look like when blended out:
I recently brought this with me on my London trip as I’m trying to travel light and I found it to be quite versatile! My skin’s finally healing from all those breakouts so this BB cream gave me the perfect medium – sheer coverage I love! Once applied, this also dries to a dewy finish so I suppose the oily-skinned girlies out there would definitely need to finish this off with a dusting of powder!
Oh and a shout out to Diana, a lovely reader from Romania! Hi Diana, I was going to take loads of photos in London but it rained all day when I was out in the city! I only managed to come home with a couple of half-assed photos (pardon the vulgarity) and I didn’t feel it would be good enough to show you how lovely London (or my favourite bits of London) really is!
I’ll be heading to the city again on Monday / Tuesday so I hope I’ll be able to take some shots of beautiful London! Sorry Diana! =)
To everyone else, I hope you are having a lovely Sunday (I’m off to tea with some girlies in a bit) and sorry I haven’t been updating as much as I would like to as work has really bogged me down!
